We provide two main kinds of services: web site development and ongoing web site hosting and support for our customers.

Web Site Development

Working with you, we discuss the purpose of your web site and what features you would like it to have.    It can be as simple as a 'brochure' web site that contains a few pages of content to provide information.   Or it could be a much fuller-featured web site.   If you already own a domain name (example: www.moonlighting-design.com) we can help you set it up to work with a new web site.   If you do not yet have a domain name we can help you with the selection process and obtaining one that you will own.

Within reason we can drive to your business to take high quality photos or any other media that you would like on your web site.    We have access to a large library of professional images that can be used to create banners and other graphics for your web site.  

After discussing the features and layout of the site we would create a demonstration site for you.    We would fill in the initial content of your web site as well as the graphics.    This is an iterative process that does not usually take very long.

When you are satisfied with your new web site we can set up a meeting and can provide you some training on how to maintain content on your web site.     At that point we will either help you move the site to your web hosting company or assume technical administration responsibilities for your site.    Most people that we have worked with do not have a strong technical background and prefer just to be able to edit their own content and leave the administration to me.   

Web Site Hosting and Support

With the technology that is used you will not be relying on us to keep the content of your site up to date.   However, there are always technical maintenance activities that must be performed on any web site.   These include: software updates (5 so far this year), database and file backups in case of a disaster, annual cost of renewing your domain name, the hosting costs including the hardware and networking costs and  any ongoing support issues that always seem to come up.    We are always near a computer during the day and are very responsive to issues that may occur.    We can manage the administration so that you do not need to worry about the technology and can concentrate on making sure your content reflects what you want it to.
