Easily-Managed Content

Traditionally to update content you need to use a web design tool to create and manage entire web pages and then publish them.    So, for example, if a piece of information had a date associated with it and you wanted to remove the content after it was not useful you would need to edit the web page and publish the changes.

In a content management system each piece of content is stored in a database which allows additional information for the content to be captured.   For example you can set the dates when a specific article should be visible on the web site but setting a starting and ending date for publishing.   When the ending date passes the article automatically is not displayed any more.   In summary you have a much higher control of your content.

The technology that I use does not require any special web page development tools such as FrontPage, Dreamweaver or any of the other popular ones.   All you need is access to the Internet and any web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.    It works with Windows, Linux and Apple computers since it is browser based.    You can edit the content on your web site from anywhere you have Internet access.
